INDICATORS Listed: Yearly, Monthly, Lunar then Daily
::: ::: ::: = Change
INDICATORS - The pattern components that continuously rotate per year, month, daily, lunar or solar phase. The indicators below articulate the current alignment.
LUNAR YEAR: YEAR of the BOAR
"Charged: plain speaking, caring, sensuous, compromising, eloquent, tolerant, humanitarian, reliable, unselfish, funny, hard-working, lucky and gregarious.
Deplete: self-indulgent, indulgent, oversexed, luxury loving, flamboyant, secretive, long-suffering, gullible and self destructive.
Image: The Chinese character for home includes the character for this Pig. Needless to say in Chinese astrology, Pigs are the most domestic of signs. A modest sacrificial animal since ancient times, it has become a mainstay of the Chinese diet - considered a ‘great transformer,’ able to make garbage into sweet white meat. In parts of China a family’s wealth is measured in the number of Pigs one owns. The wild boar mother is considered one of the fiercest animals alive. The mother boar will attack a Tiger seeking its young without an interest in surviving - the ultimate expression of aggression. Pigs collect material objects and derive great sustenance from them. They see stuff as art/food."
YIN EARTH BOAR (1899, 1959, 2019, 2079) ‘Monastery Pig’
Earth Boars are sensual, lethargic and aimless characters. They are hard to teach and hold very strong opinions. Their previous causes are strong but may support a hardened view of life. Attractive and popular socially they cannot maintain committed relationships (overly protective then cold). Those closest to them often become their worst enemies. Their material fortunes are however good and they live in comfort and luxury. Though they appear healthy they are plagued by chronic dampness."
LUNAR MONTH: YIN WOOD BOAR (1875, 1935, 1995, 2055) ‘Traveling Pig’
Wood Pigs are gullible, immature and strong willed characters. They have extremely uneven fortunes, running from exalted to disastrous. Their youth is often spent in dissolute circumstances, but their survival gives them a strong and stable old age. They will be repeatedly deceived by friends, family and strangers and learn slowly from this. Despite their difficulties, their old age is stable, joyful (supportive children) and rich. Their illnesses are caused by over-eating and emotional stress. They have long lives.
QI NODE: 18 Frost Descends
Yin Encloses Yang
"The Frost Descends qi node is when autumn collapses into winter. Lesser Yin gives way to Great Yin. On Earth stasis and frost are prevalent. As the autumn descends into winter, natural activity appears to subside. In fact, activity simply withdraws deeper and deeper inward and down. The northwest wind carries in the growing cold with transitional dam. Days grow short (yang diminishes). During this period the environment grows ever more yin and is characterized by hoarfrost. Dampness (Earth) rides the cold wind and is variable. Snow threatens. The blustery wind is pernicious cold/damp.
Yang, withdrawing in and downward, must not be called back up and out. Dress warmly and stay out of the wind. During the period qi is best at 8pm. Neigong is practiced inside where it is warm, rub your belly until it turns red. Eat warm and nourishing meals and go to bed early. Even if the weather is not cold (temperature) do not get caught in the wind."

LUNAR
HEXAGRAM: 53 Jian: Gliding
"Jian is the omen read
from the gliding, settling, gliding and settling of migrating birds. It is
about gradual and instinctive progress. Jian also represents the growth
of plants, a traditional courtship, the gracious acceptance of fate, and our
natural continuity with the ancestors. It is the story of a long and
predestined journey, the power of perseverance, and the predisposition
(character, nature and fate) inherent in our birth.”

SUNDAY November 3, Yang
Wood Dragon 7
Hexagram 17 Sui: Pursuit
Lunar Mansion: The Void / Rat
Solar Indicator: Destroy
“In this hexagram, the source of
clarity and the strength that bring true success is subordination to fate - the
act of following. When your efforts are rewarded it is stopping that brings
success. Getting caught up in pursuit for its own sake will make you mad and
diminish your resources."
LM Changing: Zhouyi: 17
Sui
“It is auspicious to stay home, strengthen family ties and protect
your children. Sleep and rest are recommended (be cautioned by your dreams).”
“On this day it is not auspicious to marry (your children will be
delinquent or handicapped), bury the dead or make offerings to ancestors
(ghosts/dead will become demonic - causing illnesses for 3 years!).
Extra-marital affairs begun on this day will eventually ruin your family,
reputation and health. Medical treatments today can cause injury and expose
constitutional weakness.”
LM Notes: The Void
“The successful prince as warrior must now lose his youthful
ambitions and develop into a proper king….Today calculated loss (cancellation)
succeeds”
LM Notes: Destroy
MONDAY November 4, Yin
Wood Snake 8
Hexagram 21 Shihe: Biting
Lunar Mansion: The Roof / Swallow
Solar Indicator: Danger
"A Zhou leader was both a warrior and a sage, not a brute.
Good leaders know that it is their own miscalculations and poor management that
lead to the need for a strong use of force (war). When we resort to harsh
punishments we must do so cautiously - even humbly."
LM Changing: Zhouyi 21 Shihe
“The key to the auspices has to do with how you act in a dangerous
situation…It is auspicious to stay home, repair walls (security), remodel, take
tonics and comply with superiors. It is favorable for medical treatments,
exercise and eating well. It is favorable to raise roof beams and rafters
(begin new construction). It is auspicious for family gatherings at home.
Alliances and collaborations come to fruit and good 'luck'. This day is
inauspicious for travel because you will be robbed (road) or drowned (sea).
Strangers and strange (foreign) places offer calamity.”
LM Notes: The Roof
“To roust hypocrisy in his new alliances the leader must bait his
hidden enemies (yin) by showing vulnerability. This day is a qi expression of
true power but all the action is fraught with danger and risk. The games of
political power are also the precursors of decline. The power plays show yin to
be drawing life from the heart of yang. Success is limited now to a kind of
survival. Manipulation and covert action succeed. Elegance becomes the mask of
cleverness and intrigue. Doing only what needs to be done is best. Old habits
or patterns of pressing forward will invite catastrophe. Beware grudges.”

Hexagram 51 Zhen: Thunder
Lunar Mansion: The House / Pig
Solar Indicator: Complete
"Zhen indicates a time for a dramatic breakthrough
from lethargy. Good fortune here has everything to do with staying calm. Zhen
denotes a situation where, though things are in turmoil at first, they sort out
and become beneficial in the long run. Whether you are the rebel leader or the
deposed ruler there is good reason to proceed with standard protocol, good
manners, and determination.”
LM Changing: Zhouyi 51
Zhen
“It is auspicious to build, remodel and make fengshui
adjustments (especially to enhance career office/shop). It is auspicious to
initiate business, negotiate and sign contracts and get married (all of which
have long-term benefit). Expect to be generously compensated for work done
today.
“Public welfare projects succeed. Temple buildings brings benefits
for many generations.
Conversely it is auspicious to enter retreat if there is great
sincerity (renunciation) and strong resolve (compassion for others). The
benefits you receive on this day should be shared with others (living and
dead). Burials on this day are celebrated by both the living and dead ancestors
(bring great wealth).
“It is not auspicious to wait, procrastinate or be
confrontational.”
LM Notes: The House
“It is a day for resting on your laurels. Success is established
and secured and the new state seems to govern itself. Enemies are few. It is a
time for inward reflection (yin) on the bare face of reality (yang). Struggle
(yang) is no longer possible or necessary (yin). Decline is not feared and
success not celebrated. Wisdom approaches and withdrawing succeeds. Art is the
demonstration of confidence, dignity and wisdom - be artful. No more
accumulating - decorate with modesty. The way of perfecting power is austerity
and restraint. Do less, have less, show less and seek nothing. Enjoy what is
already manifest.”
