Chinese Almanac Astrology September 27 - 29, 2015 - 8th FULL MOON

Today, Sunday, is the 8th Full Moon (and mid-autumn festival or moon festival). 
Yang is spent, and Yin is now on its march to full maturity which peaks in Winter.

The moon festival is a time to embrace the imminent arrival of supreme Yin. This year on 8/15, we will see the earth cover the moon from the sun as though Yin is being a bit shy and timid. Take a cup of tea, and venture out on the evening of the full moon (Sunday, Sept 27th) and catch the reflection of this shy, yet unknowably strong and resilient Yin (moon) in your cup. Embrace the changing of the guard (yang to yin) in your own experience and drink the moon into your heart, welcoming her.

"In the full 8th moon (the biggest of the year) [medieval Chinese] literati toast (autumn tea or wine) the moon (a goddess) and often spend the night (yin) drifting in open boats on calm lakes (yin) writing poetry, inspired by the moon (yin).
