Chinese Almanac Astrology November 14 - 17, 2015

May this Winter rain blessings upon you all.

Yin Wood Goat

Year: WOOD GOAT 4713
The Wood Goat, a little girl kid, lends a soft grounded context for us this year; Still very new, maturing quickly and playfully, sincere and disciplined. Herd up, slough off what no longer serves your appetite, compost and go fresh.

Lunar Month: FIRE PIG
"Fire Pigs are resolute, talented and aggressive characters. They are precocious and tend to marry/partner young or not at all. Having rare an unusual skills they are supported by people of power and influence. They are devout followers and absorb knowledge/power from others. Uniqueness and excessive strength isolate them. Their fortunes improve with age (60+) and/or when they learn to let go. Though they are particularly susceptible to 'hot' disease, they respond well to treatment and have long lives.LM Notes

Qi Node: 19 Winter Begins
Yin Hides Yang
“The wi node called Winter Begins is a time of growing cold and the development of Big Yin qi. Days get short and nights grow long. The ground hardens (but does not freeze), insects disappear and the last harvest must be stored away. During this period the environment grows ever more Yin and is characterized by cold (water element). The winter is the great Abyss of Yin. If yang is not stored the world is barren.

As the last of the autumn qi subsides, a cold north wind (qi) appears and the season of winter begins in earnest. Dampness (Earth) riding the cold wind is only occasional. Winter is here and there is a chance to enjoy the Cold. During this period the environmental qi is best at 9pm. Neigong is practiced in the morning and just before bed. Dream with intention.”

Lunar Hexagram 2 Kun: Earth

"The Primordial Yin, with all its gentleness, is the true nature of events and things as they spontaneously unfold in Space. It is the inner nature of things expressing compliance with the environment that sustains it. It is not the product of human effort. The aimless wandering of the mare represents the openness and sensitivity that is accepting and responsive to fate and circumstance. The key to the power of Kun is found in the cultivation of supple compliance and should not be confused with passive docility, suppression or laziness. Kun is the inherent responsiveness and resolution of all beings and things in Nature."

SATURDAY November 14, Yang Wood Horse 3

Hexagram: 13 Tong Ren: Community
Lunar Mansion: The Stomach/Pheasant
Solar Indicator: Danger
Move gracefully and graciously as winter approaches. It's not time for new waves of energy but rather tasks at the end of a day, end of a season, culling and preserving. There is a cultural vibe to the day and auspicious for industry, negotiation and generosity, canceling out debt and receiving what is owed. Bury the dead and marry on this day. Don't be egotistical; confrontation, breaking taboo and/or the law today will squander resources.

SUNDAY November 15, Yin Wood Goat 4

Hexagram 49 Ge: Molting
Lunar Mansion: The Watchers
Solar Indicator: Complete
There is an exorcistic tone to the day.
“It is a day for resting on your laurels. Success is established and secured and the new state seems to govern itself. Enemies are few. It is a time for inward reflection (yin) on the bare face of reality (yang). Struggle (yang) is no longer possible or necessary (yin). Decline is not feared and success not celebrated. Wisdom approaches and withdrawing succeeds. Art is the demonstration of confidence, dignity and wisdom - be artful. No more accumulating - decorate with modesty. The way of perfecting power is austerity and restraint. Do less, have less, show less and seek nothing. Enjoy what is already manifest.” LM Notes: Complete

MONDAY November 16, Yang Fire Monkey

Hexagram 30 Li: Oriole
Lunar Mansion: The Net/Crow
Solar Indicator: Harvest
"Li tells us the what is truly bright cannot last. In the great cycles of change there are moments of glory when everything shines brightly and reaches a fantastic peak. It is important to understand that the very pinnacle of success (oriole) is none other than the gate of decline." LChanging: Zhouyi

Within the brightness, consider everything as omen. After the exorcism of yesterday, today offers communication with the ancestors.

"To consult a physician and consult oracles (divination of all kinds) will bring clarity. It is a good day for industry (labor/gardening = long term wealth), building (restores clarity) and burying the dead (enhance intuition). It is inauspicious to take anything for granted. It is inauspicious for revolution, confrontation, breaking taboos, neglecting responsibilities or travel (someone at home dies/gets sick).

 LM Notes: The Net/Crow

TUESDAY November 17, Yin Fire Rooster 6

Hexagram 55 Feng: Abundance
Lunar Mansion: The Beak/Monkey
Solar Indicator: Open
"Do not waste time feeling unworthy or claim the success is yours. Honor all co-factors and reward all co-workers. Celebration and generosity express abundance."
LChanging: Zhouyi

"It bodes well to follow superiors, practice austerity and/or pool resources with others. It is a day to sincerely comply with divination and maintain taboos meticulously. It is inauspicious to push forward, be industrious or initiate new ventures. Revolution of demanding idealistic justice on this day will be catastrophic."

LM Notes: The Beak/Monkey

"An open heart gives the option to acquire great wisdom."

LM Notes: Open
