Year: WOOD GOAT 4713
The Wood Goat, a little girl kid, lends a soft grounded context for us this year; Still very new, maturing quickly and playfully, sincere and disciplined. Herd up, slough off what no longer serves your appetite, compost and go fresh.
Lunar Month: FIRE PIG
"Fire Pigs are resolute, talented and aggressive characters. They are precocious and tend to marry/partner young or not at all. Having rare an unusual skills they are supported by people of power and influence. They are devout followers and absorb knowledge/power from others. Uniqueness and excessive strength isolate them. Their fortunes improve with age (60+) and/or when they learn to let go. Though they are particularly susceptible to 'hot' disease, they respond well to treatment and have long lives." LM Notes
Qi Node: 19 Winter Begins
Yin Hides Yang
“The wi node called Winter Begins is a time of growing cold and the development of Big Yin qi. Days get short and nights grow long. The ground hardens (but does not freeze), insects disappear and the last harvest must be stored away. During this period the environment grows ever more Yin and is characterized by cold (water element). The winter is the great Abyss of Yin. If yang is not stored the world is barren.
As the last of the autumn qi subsides, a cold north wind (qi) appears and the season of winter begins in earnest. Dampness (Earth) riding the cold wind is only occasional. Winter is here and there is a chance to enjoy the Cold. During this period the environmental qi is best at 9pm. Neigong is practiced in the morning and just before bed. Dream with intention.”
LM The Way of Three TreasuresLunar Hexagram 52 Gen: Still
"Gen is the stillness of a mountain. In the image there are two mountains, one above and one below. The mountain above represents the clarity and calm of meditation, spiritual realization and the mystical inspiration of divination.
"The mountain below represents the courage of restraint in the face of physical punishment of suppressive discipline like the slow humiliation of sacrificed captives. This sort of courage transforms negative emotions into inner peace."

WEDNESDAY November 18, Yang Earth Dog 7
Hexagram: Consult the Oracle
Lunar Mansion: The Trio/Gibbon
"It bodes well to dispose of inessentials (haircuts), edit, fast, study (Classics), take exams, enter retreat and practice meditation. It is good to be industrious close to home (house clean). Initiating business (particularly group enterprise) will be fruitful if planning has been thorough. It is inauspicious to push forward aggressively. Do not get married, finalize divorce, bury the dead, spend savings or speculate financially as these all lead to losing resources and cooperation." LM Notes: The Trio
The more unplugged, unattached and adaptable you are today, the more limitless the insight available. Step back, everywhere that you can, consult the oracle and keep it light (Earth Dogs are good at that).
THURSDAY November 19, Yin Earth Pig 8
Hexagram 37 Jia Ren: Household
Lunar Mansion: The Well/Tapir
"Jia Ren is about well-ordered, supportive families and family-like groups that have a collective purpose. Selfless caregivers (mothers/nourishment) make households and family-like groups strong. Selfless and consistent inner strength is the basis of true communities. Orderly family/communities nurture great leaders who, in turn, make the alliances that create fair and just nation-states." LM Changing: Zhouyi
It is auspicious today to recalibrate to the greater good. Remodels, fengshui adjustments, exams and routine industry go well. A good day for apologies and difficult tasks, self-reflections and graduations.
