Yin Wood Goat

Year: WOOD GOAT 4713
The Wood Goat, a little girl kid, lends a soft grounded context for us this year; Still very new, maturing quickly and playfully, sincere and disciplined. Herd up, slough off what no longer serves your appetite, compost and go fresh.

Lunar Month: WOOD ROOSTER
"Wood Roosters are idealistic, quarrelsome and insightful. For what seems to them to be no reason, family and sometimes friends abandon them. Their outspoken quality is both a blessing (amusing) and a curse (off-putting). Their fortune is uneven. They often receive the ‘debts of the ancestors’, family debts and congenital illnesses. Though they are likely to suffer from chronic minor illnesses or handicaps, they are long lived." LM Notes
Yin Descends

Qi Node: 16 Autumn Equinox
Yin and Yang Equality
"When the qi node Autumn Equinox arrives annual Yin qi is established. Day and night are equal. During this period the environment grows ever more yin and is characterized by a cool, dry wind (metal element). It is one of four annual pivots that rectify the annual qi. Yin and yang are equal - day and night are equal. Storehouses are filling up and the work of harvest is nearly complete. There is a pleasant stillness.
During this qi node qi is best at 6pm. Neigong should be done indoors morning and evening in short sessions. When yin/yang equality is reached and yin is about to take charge, it is best to eat food that has a higher jing/qi concentration. Breakfast can be eaten a little bit later than in spring/summer but is should be hearty. Do not eat at all after 7pm. All meals should be experienced in a quite and undistracted setting. You needn't be a hermit, but avoid being social at every meal." LM The Way of Three Treasures

Lunar Hexagram 26 Da Chu: Great Store
"Da Chu represents acquisition, accumulation and abundance. The term is associated with the domestication and husbandry of herd animals and the transformation of the untamed wilderness (feudal states/war) into agricultural prosperity (central government/peace). It is the river silt that becomes rich farmland.

"'Eating far from home' means attending a great sacrificial offering made by your clan or a thanksgiving celebration attended by family/friends. 'Crossing the great river' refers to making great and timely progress in worldly affairs." LChanging: Zhouyi

SUNDAY
October 4, Yin Water Ox 22

Hexagram: Consult the oracle
Lunar Lodge: The Room
Solar Indicator: Settle
Consult the oracle for specific advice, herd up today and follow the momentum, it's beyond your control. Showing up generously, honoring ancestors, education, tradition and collective action are all auspicious. Be open to alliances, thorough preparation has now brought appropriate assistance. Burials are auspicious for both the living and the dead. Fengshui adjustments, remodels, acquiring luxuries and investments will lend support. Clarity and ease are available today. Trust what shows up, procrastination is inauspicious.

I am because we are. May we, together, practice honest self-reflection and open to our collective potential.
